Inke Fabian de Barreto is an international health development leader with proven expertise in managing health sector projects, teams and donor relations. She blends deep healthcare knowledge with a critical set of business development, management, and technical skills to ensure EPOS’ further growth and success.
Her background is solidly rooted in public health and international development aid. Following studies in political science and a post-graduate degree at the German Development Institute, Ms Fabian de Barreto joined EPOS in 2001. Over the following twelve years, she held strategic leadership positions within EPOS, led technical units and worked as consultant and project manager while assisting in key corporate management initiatives. Her responsibilities ranged from health system strengthening and public health in Yemen and Angola over reproductive health and community-based health insurance in Cameroon as well as HIV prevention in Kenya and the Caribbean and social marketing approaches in Congo and Chad.
Prior to becoming EPOS Managing Director, she served as Business Development Manager to the GOPA Group where she was responsible for market and donor analyses and for identifying trends in development cooperation especially for cross-cutting topics, such as climate change. She successfully promoted GOPA Group processes and projects.
