The Government of Uganda established the District Health Services Project which intended to improve health care delivery services in selected districts

Description of Services: 

Project objectives were the rehabilitation of selected health units in ten decentralised districts and the rehabilitation of two selected training schools in Jinja and Kabarole district. Specific activities included: - Preparation of schedule of Health Units proposed for rehabilitation and equipping - Site visits to units and preparation of cost briefs of the scope of work - Preparation of site plans of existing and proposed facilities, construction drawings and status reports on equipment and furniture - Site visits to training schools Fort-Portal Medical Assistants Training School and Jinja Nurses and Laboratory Technicians School - Preparation of costed brief of the scope of work
